A monthly online group session designed specifically for men 18+ who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide.
This monthly drop-in style support group is hosted online through Zoom.
It is a space where male survivors can come together and share their unique experience of grief. Often men are doing what we call "double duty" when they lose someone they love by suicide.
They are also supporting others, and often push away their own complex emotions.
Our programs of hope and healing are the first of their kind, having been written by a combination of professionals and survivors of a traumatic loss by suicide.
This Men's Only group is a drop-in option that is flexible - attendance is up to each participant to decide on when and how often they want to participate.
It is a program filled with a compassionate community of support for bereaved men to share their unique experience of grief and discuss helpful coping strategies.
There is a private group messenger service set up by the facilitators and participants can join if they’d like additional connection with other participants and facilitators.
Narrative Therapy
Healing to The Max programs of support are based on a strong foundation of Narrative Therapy, which is easily modified to allow for all cultural nuances to be adapted.
It moves away from the traditional belief that you must achieve closure to heal, and instead, invites you to practice the art of "Saying Hello, Again".
We keep the connection going far beyond the structured programs and offer our participants a comprehensive healing experience. We are passionate about helping our participants learn ways to cope with their grief in healthy ways, in an empathetic community, while they learn to live with their grief and joy, hand in hand.
